HOW TO MARK A GEOLOCATION?
When uploading a story, we recommend you mark an exact geolocation. This is how you and your loved ones will be able to locate the place where memories dear to you have been recorded today or years from now. Or rather, the people you have documented will be found on the platform by relatives, neighbours, or soulmates. If there is a risk of invasion of privacy or display of content that may provoke criminal intent, we recommend you omit the exact geolocation.
If you are sharing a story through video, virtual reality, photographs, or audio recordings, the geolocation is the place where the recording took place.
In written stories, the location is the place most often associated with the person whose story you are sharing - their permanent dwelling. In some cases, at the discretion of the story collector, this may be the place described in the text.
HOW TO DEAL IN CASES OF MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?
Once again, the guiding force is the permanent dwelling of the person whose story you are sharing. In some cases, when it is not a significant part of their life, the place where the interview with them was recorded or the last documentary records were made can be used as a geolocation. At the request of the person whose story is being shared, this may also be their birthplace.
In the comments tab, we would be happy if you added notesabout additional geolocations in the narrative. In future developments of the platform, these will be added to the description.
HOW TO MARK A LOCATION WHOSE NAME IS THE SAME AS ANOTHER?
In such cases, please indicate the municipality/county/region of the town you are adding in parentheses. When uploading the story, you will be reminded of this through tooltip.

COMMON APPROACH
If you are sharing a story through video, virtual reality, photographs, or audio recordings, this is the age at the time of recording the story. The same applies to written stories told and recorded by the narrator or through direct contact with them.
WHAT TO DO WHEN RECORDINGS TAKE PLACE OVER AN EXTENDED TIME?
In such cases, the guiding principle is the age when the last documentary recordings were made.
In the comments tab, we would be happy if you added notes about any filming dates/ages in the narrative. In future developments of the platform, these will be added to the description.

Before uploading a story, we recommend you gather as much information as possible about the person whose story you are sharing.
However, in cases where this information is missing or incomplete (especially some related to distant ancestors and historical figures), we recommend posting your best approximation of the date/month/year based on known facts. For example, if you know that your great-great-grandmother was born in the winter of 1921, but you are unsure of the exact date and month, then fill in the year and choose a winter month and a random date. In addition, when uploading a story, we recommend you add a note about this in the comments tab. If you find this information later, you can contact us to change the recorded data.
The same rule applies if you are filling in a date of death or of documentation.
